We offer both one-to-one Personal Training and group Personal Training (2-4).

DESCRIPTION

A Nutritional Therapist works alongside clients to help identify and treat nutritional factors affecting their current health and wellbeing and aid them in promoting and improving their health.

 

Nutritional Therapy is considered to be a complementary therapy, which can be used alongside orthodox medicine. Therapists may work with clients who have chronic health problems that conventional medicine may find difficult to treat or with individuals who are interested in improving their health through diet. The Nutritional Therapist works closely with the client to conduct a holistic assessment of their nutritional requirements and to compile an individual programme for diet and supplementation, in order to alleviate, or prevent illness and promote optimal health.

DESCRIPTION

Sports Massage is one of the best tools for both prehabilitation and rehabilitation. It can be completed specifically before sports games, after sports games, after a workout or just as a general session.

 

Not only does sports massage have physical benefits but also psychological and physiological benefits too.

 

Sports massage itself has many benefits, increasing blood flow, transportation of nutrients, increased flexibility to name a few. More specifically:

  • Breaks down scar tissue – Scar tissue is the result of previous injuries or trauma and can effect muscle, tendons and ligaments. This can lead to inflexible tissues that are prone to injury and pain.

  • Improve tissue elasticity – Hard training can make tissues hard and inelastic. This is one reason why hard training may not result in improvements. Massage helps reverse this by stretching the tissues.

  • Pain reduction – Tension and waste products in muscles can often cause pain. Massage helps reduce this in many ways including releasing the bodies endorphins.

  • Relaxation – Muscles relax through heat generated, circulation and stretching. Mechanoreceptors which sense touch, pressure, tissue length and warmth are stimulated causing a reflex relaxation.
