Become a ‘SPARTAN’ with the 300 workout

Most of us have now seen the film ‘300’ and we can all say that Gerard Butler worked really, really hard for that physique. The film went global and had many fitness enthusiasts engaged. How did Butler get so ripped? How did Butler become the man he did in that film?

When the film was released, thousands of people were looking for the workout and nutrition plans. The Personal Trainers of the team for 300 designed a very specific ‘ultimate workout’ for the guys to assess themselves with. It contained every aspect of training you could desire. There is strength, endurance, core, plyometics and of course grit and determination.

For any of you who know what i’m talking about, you can vouch for this. You know how hard it is. I know it is.

Below is the workout that they used to challenge themselves with, including all the weights that they used. Can you complete this workout? Have you completed this workout? If so, post your time. My personal best was 21:14 back in 2013. It’s gonna get smashed this summer…

“300 Workout”

25x Pull-up

50x Deadlift @ 60kg

50x Press Ups

50x Box Jump @ 24″ box

50x Floor Wiper @ 60kg (one-count = left – right and visa versa)

50x KB Clean and Press @ 16kg (KB must touch floor between reps)

25x Pull-up
